ICTP Masters Scholarships for Students from Developing Countries in Italy, 2017-2018

ICTP — International Centre for Theoretical Physics  and the University of Trieste are delighted to announce scholarships for its fifth cycle of the Master’s Programme in Medical Physics (MMP), a two-year advanced training programme in the field of medical physics. Students from developing countries are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue master degree programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of Medical Physics or related fields.

Scholarship Award: A limited number of full or partial scholarships will be awarded to successful candidates from developing countries, thanks to the support of the IAEA, TWAS and ICTP. Full support includes travel, registration fees and a monthly stipend of 900 euro in the first year and 1000 euro in the second (or a reduced amount if accommodation is provided).

Partial support can be in the form of:

  • Half support: travel, registration fees and a monthly stipend of 450 euro in the first and 500 in the second year
  • Or, only travel and registration fees.

Number of Scholarships: A limited number of full or partial scholarships will be awarded.

Scholarship can be taken in Italy

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship.

  • The minimum qualification for applicants is a degree equivalent to an MSc in physics or related fields. The selection of candidates will be based on their university performance, research activity and professional experience in the field.
  • The Master’s Programme is open to young (generally below 30 years of age) qualified graduates from countries that are members of the United Nations, UNESCO or IAEA. Candidates who have received their degree outside Italy must obtain the “Dichiarazione di Valore” from the Italian Embassy in their country, testifying that their curriculum studio run is equivalent to the Italian “Laurea specialist”. Curriculum studio run should comprise 12 years of primary and secondary school and a University degree equivalent to the Italian “Laurea specialistica” – a university study allowing to enter in a PhD programme in her/his Country.

Nationality: Students from Developing Countries —  Russia are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: The minimum qualification for applicants is a degree equivalent to an MSc in physics or related fields.

English language Requirements: Adequate proficiency in English language is required.

How to Apply: Individuals wishing to apply for the Master of Advanced Studies in Medical Physics must complete the online Application for Participation form.

The applicant has to submit a CV, a transcription of the university degree and can also submit a letter of recommendation from senior scientists familiar with the applicant. Scientists making recommendations should indicate if they have any contacts at the ICTP.

Applications are invited for Santander Fee Scholarship at GCU or GCU London commencing September 2017. Students from America, Europe and other countries are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.Glasgow Caledonian University is a public university in Glasgow, Scotland. It was formed in 1993 by the merger of The Queen’s College, Glasgow and Glasgow Polytechnic.

In order to be eligible students must have been offered a place to study at GCU or GCU London before applying for this scholarship.

Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue Master degree programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to learn any of the courses offered by the university.

Scholarship Award: Scholarships of £5,000 towards fees will be awarded.
